The final verdict on NFL talent is in from the two Alabama-LSU games played during the 2011 season. The league has now drafted 45 players who participated in LSU's 9-6 regular-season victory over Alabama and/or the Tide's 21-0 win over the Tigers in the 2012 BCS Championship Game.

The last remaining participants from those games were selected over the weekend in the 2015 NFL draft. Alabama fullback Jalston Fowler got picked in the fourth round. Alabama linebacker Xzavier Dickson and LSU running back Kenny Hilliard both went in the seventh round.

Some fans were bored by the low-scoring Alabama-LSU games that combined to produce 10 field goals and only one touchdown. Nevertheless, the NFL talent on the field was staggering.

• Sixteen of the 22 defensive starters for the Nov. 5, 2011 game in Tuscaloosa got drafted. Twelve of the defensive starters -- more than half -- were selected in the first three rounds.

• Nine starters were picked in the first round: LSU's Morris Claiborne, Michael Brockers and Eric Reid; Alabama's Trent Richardson, Mark Barron, Dre Kirkpatrick, Dont'a Hightower, Chance Warmack and D.J. Fluker.

• Five reserves were selected in the first round (Alabama's Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, C.J. Mosley, Dee Milliner; LSU's Odell Beckham and Barkevious Mingo). Plus, Tide reserve Eddie Lacy became the 2013 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year as a second-round pick.

Still, the Alabama-LSU games will fall short to the ultimate title game filled with NFL talent: Ohio State-Miami at the Fiesta Bowl for the 2003 BCS Championship, which closed the 2002 season. On that night at Sun Devil Stadium, 52 future NFL draft picks saw the field, 37 of which were starters. Plus, 18 players from that game went in the first round.

Just like Ohio State-Miami, the Alabama-LSU legacy now lives on in the NFL.

Check out a breakdown of every player from the game that was selected in the draft ahead of this past weekend."
