The SEC has fallen off pretty hard the last month or so

Right now I would say this is the worst the SEC has been top to bottom since at least 2004. Half the conference has a hot coaching seat and two coaches are already officially out or on the way out. After today there will only be three ranked teams in the playoff rankings unless they sneak Miss St in there at 25.

Sure there will be some respectable final records come year end and at least two 10 game winners. But there isn't a single team outside of Bama and maybe UF that will get any respect outside our league and tbh I'm at least a little concerned about how we'll look if we get to the playoff. Sure we have the talent but our defense will have to show up ready to go or we'll get smashed in the mouth again before we get moving forward.

Run down the list of teams and find me a team below us and UF that's more than mediocre overall by SEC standards of the last several seasons.

Miss has great talent in the one deep but derped hard in three losses.

Tenn, Ark, Miss St, A&M, and UGA are the charmin soft middle of the pack with LSU falling faster than Healthsouth stock after Scrushy got busted. None of that pack of teams would have had winning records in this league a few seasons ago.

The others frankly don't deserve a bowl game though one or two may get invites compliments of a 6 win season.

Just a bad year in league IMO.
