When you have double digit turnovers, some games over 20. then as a sane basketball fan,
you have to know it takes too much to overcome that …

How many times do our guards leave their feet looking to pass to an outlet and then ,with no way out, turn it over. Or simply make a lazy pass up top and the opponent is off to the races. It's infuriating to watch this.Me and GOAT were talking about it in the game thread. I can live with the turnovers that are truly forced and good defensive plays. So many of our turnovers come from literally just handing them the ball on a lazy pass/dribble(yes we have invented the lazy dribble), and even more come from dribbling into no man’s land with absolutely no plan or outlet
It happens a ton. We could cut down on turnovers by 33% by using brain cellsHow many times do our guards leave their feet looking to pass to an outlet and then ,with no way out, turn it over. Or simply make a lazy pass up top and the opponent is off to the races. It's infuriating to watch this.
That’s the recipeI will say this… I watch a ton of college basketball and it’s not just us. Pretty much everyone loses games the same way when they lose. It’s just how college basketball is. The few teams who cut down on stupid mistakes win their conference and get a top 2-3 seed. Even most of those teams are capable of similar type games they just do it less often.
there will be 67 losses in the NCAA tournament and I guarantee atleast 60 of them will be teams that have 14+ turnovers and/or horrid shooting nights… the teams with the best chance to win it all are the ones that can overcome that type game with elite defense, rebounding, and foul shooting.
Oats best teams at bama will be his best defensive teams. Plain and simple. His offensive system is going to lend itself to some rough outings. There will be amazing outings as well but you can’t be dependent on playing amazing offense to win a game. College basketball is known for the 5+ minute scoring drought. No matter what style you want to play, college players can get bogged down on offense bc their aren’t a ton of high level shot makers that can just go up and make contested shots all over the court on a consistent basis.
