Wow wow wow. What a performance by Brandon Miller after having his name drug through the mud the past couple of days and hatred spewed at him. He goes out and scores 41, including the game tying layup and game winning layup in OT. I’ve run out of adjectives to describe this guy, but tough is one that always comes to mind.

In a game where nothing went right for Alabama and everything seemed to drop for South Carolina, the Tide come up clutch late to prevent a monster upset. You knew they would likely come out flat with everything going on and being on the road, and they certainly did. When you look at the box score, nothing really jumps out at you except the rebounding difference was heavily in Alabama’s favor (39-25). South Carolina hit a lot of tough shots, including a half court shot to end the first half, and did a great job against Alabama’s drop coverage. Charles Bediako had a solid night scoring 10 as he was the only other player in double figures.

We all knew this game would likely be very weird, but didn’t think it would be this dramatic. You learn from games like this, and this game further proves that Brandon Miller can carry this team a long way by himself, but others have to step up. Alabama won’t get 2 points from their bench again. Big test against Arkansas on Saturday.

I thought the defense and rebounding were great. 14 and 24. ok mostly 24 carried this team tonight.
Angry Chuck was a rim protecting maniac most of the game.
Miller took his frustration out and filled the nets for 41.
Miller out scored the rest of the players by himself. Really special talent.

Oats looks understandable exhausted at his press conference. Predictably, none of the reporters care anything about the game. All the questions are about Miller and this weeks events. Probably the most special season he has ever had as a coach, to date, and he gets a late night phone call that the 12th man on the bench was involved in a horrible, senseless act, and that dream season for Oats instantly turns into a nightmare. 😟

Right on. Haven't been a big bediako lover the last few weeks. But he's the other reason we won tonight. I didn't confuse him for Miller, but he had a nice game.

Yup I truly feel bad for Oats. No matter how this plays out, it’s exhausting and distracting.

Schedule favors Texas AM to finish as regular season champs.

Bama has Arkansas and Auburn @ home and Texas AM on the road while Texas AM is @ Miss State and @ Ole Miss before getting Bama at home.
Bama’s seems like a tougher road .

State and A&M are a good matchup and ole miss actually played AU tough last night . It would be nice to see the bulldogs get an upset

Tough three games ahead and have to win them all to take the regular season championship unless AM was to lose to Ole Miss and Miss State in back to back games on the road. I hope they lose one of them.
We'll win the SEC if we go 2-1 as long as A & M drops at least one more game. I don't expect State or Ole Miss to beat them, though.

Burnette played good D and Bradley had some good drives. They were feeling the pressure tonight, but they survived. This should make them closer.
Bradley needs to finish those drives. He has left God knows how many points at the rim and the FT line. If Q or Sears miss the basket on a drive and get fouled, at least they can be counted on at the FT line.

I will argue Bradley is the best finisher of the guards. Maybe not last night, but he usually finishes those tough shots. Sears is the best free throw shooter of the 3, but Q has missed many of free throws when we have needed them.

Then it sets up perfect for drama. We will have to win it on the road.

I counter-argue that he is not. Bradley is good at getting to the rim, but not putting it in the basket. Last night is not the only time Bradley had a bad night on offense. Q is more careless with the ball than Bradley, but he is more effective at scoring. At the FT line, Bradley will make one and miss one or miss them both. Rarely does he go 2 for 2.
