This is by far the best offensive team this program has ever seen and it’s not even close. The ability to turn a game upside down in such a short amount of time is why you cannot turn the game off at any point.

At the beginning of the game, you had to wonder if either team were going to get stops. Both teams weee on a 120 point pace at one point. Once Alabama started getting a few stops, they built a 11 point lead. Once they did, LSU cut it to 3 at half. After e brief back and forth, Alabama built a 13 point lead, one that would only last for 4 minutes. After LSU took a 1 point lead with 9:30 left, Alabama outscored LSU 37-18 to put the game away.

It’s the 7th 100 point game of the year, one shy of the SEC record. Latrell Wrightsell continues to be a revelation for this team, Mark Sears continued his All-American season, and Nick Pringle had his best game of the year. Alabama hit 18 threes and forced 13 turnovers, which will win games 99% of the time.

Overall, my impressions were that this team needs a week off, and they get it at the perfect time. You can tell they look fatigued at times, but their incredible offensive efficiency masks their average defensive efficiency. That’s how they’re going to have to win games.

All in all, 9-2 and 1st in the SEC with 7 games to go is incredible for this team. They get 2 home games against solid teams in UF and A&M, before playing 3 of 5 on the road against likely tournament teams. If they win 2 more, then they hit my preseason projection for them.

Time for a well deserved break.
