Luckily got to watch 80% of the game. Having a kid with RSV can throw a wretch into things. Nevertheless, it was another huge scoring game for Alabama. Scoring 100+ in three straight games for the first time since the 1950’s.

It’s amazing what this team has been able to do offensively considering the turnover they experienced in the off-season. Two of their better players didn’t even have a good scoring game, but made up for it in other ways. Grant Nelson had 3 blocks and Aaron Estrada had 4 steals. Thought the team’s effort on defense was a lot better this game.

Nick Pringle had a better game last night after Nate Oats called him out. Now it’s time to see it consistently. I was most impressed with Mohamed Wague and Sam Walters last night. Wague is starting to look healthy. He’s very mobile and active on both ends. We finally saw the Sam Walters that TCU saw in the scrimmage. He’s a sniper from the outside and had some good drives as well.

Overall, Alabama hasn’t got tested yet. They won’t until next Friday. That doesn’t diminish what this team has accomplished so far. They’re ranked 5th in KenPom and dominating the teams they should. They’re farther ahead of schedule than what I imagined they would be.
