That will end up being one of the more impressive victories of the season for Alabama in my opinion. Not because Liberty is amazing, but because they’ll likely make the tournament and how they thoroughly dominated them. It could end up becoming a Q1 win as well.
This was the most complete game Alabama has played all season. The offense was tremendous, the defense looked great, and every single player stepped up their game. Latrell Wrightsell had his best game in an Alabama uniform scoring 19 points off the bench, which was good to see. Alabama needs production from their bench.
You saw a lot of drive and kicks and attacking the basket, which is this offense’s MO. Alabama suffocated Liberty with their size advantage and shot them out of the gym as well. They made the #8 ranked mid major look like a D2 school.
Next up on January 6th is Vanderbilt on the road to start conference play. Vandy is one of the worst, If not the worst, Power 5 teams out there so it should be a team they dominate. Realistically I can see Alabama starting 4-0, at worst 3-1, before traveling to Tennessee.
