While this game was going on, we had a game against 5A East Limestone (we are the smallest 3A school in the state) and we won! So huge win there, and I got out to see Bama put up 104 on SDSU. Now giving up over 80 is obviously not good, but SDSU is the most experienced team in college basketball so they know how to score.
Keon Ellis is this team’s best player both ways and I don’t think there’s any debating that. JQ obviously had a great scoring game, but the way Keon impacts both ends is incredible. I always like to say he is Herb with an offensive game. Guys like Miles, Bediako, and Gary (hope hes not bad hurt) are who make this team go to the next level. The role players will be so critical. Good to see Gurley have a good game, Bediako had a good game, and JD was solid but he didn’t press and just let the game come to him. Obviously this was a fun tempo to play in and a great game to get some guys going and get their confidence up.
