I have a bad feeling about tonight's game. The Cats will come in here on a mission. We have got to play at the top of our game to beat them. I know on paper it should be easier than some. I just remember us beating them when we shouldn't have. In the back of my mind I can't stop thinking that we will not go undefeated. I hope our shooters have another big night but UK is playing better defense than earlier. We need to get off to a fast start. RTR

I do as well. The 86-87 team also lost their 9th SEC game. I also remember being at the game that season when Kentucky came into Tuscaloosa and beat us when we had already beaten them handily at Rupp. That was the only home game they lost all season. As good as we were that season, we still couldn't sweep Kentucky. Really hoping that changes this year.

In years past these games would worry me, but we have great 3 point shooters. Kentucky is Kentucky and I still don't feel that team has come together as a unit. Its tough to get all those 5 stars and one and dones to buy in year after year. If we can play D the way Bama did the first meeting Bama should be just fine.

Bama is not going undefeated the rest of the conference season. That is impossible. There will probably be a minimum of 3 losses. But 15-3 still wins the league.

Punch em in the mouth. That team they played two weeks had no heart. You think those entitled one and dones grew heart over the past two weeks? Kentucky doesn't control the fate of this game, Alabama does. Two major injuries and UK in the bonus with 12 minutes to go in the second half and they still couldn't beat Bama. If this team plays hard they do not lose this game. Biggest thing is to make it to halftime with neither Reese or Ambrose having more than 2 fouls IMO.
YOU HANDLE A BULLY BY PUNCHING EM IN THE MOUTH.

Every game now is another test. This time its for a new reason. We have beaten them once already. But the past tests are still there too. You have to expect an off=night shooting at some point. Even though we weren't as hot against State as we were against LSU, we still hit 14 threes. It just gets more impressive as the wins pile up.

Yeah, I didn't have the best feeling going into the MSU game when it was announced before the game that Rojas was out. And then we played like we were half asleep for most of the game. We did however manage a tough win where we probably lose in about any previous year going back to the 90s.

But after getting a high ranking and a lot of positive press I can't help but feel this team is due for an adjustment game where they find out they can't just walk on the court and blow everyone out. It's Shula-itis for basketball... that feeling that things aren't supposed to go this well without a hard crash to reality.

The Cats will be in desperation mode from here on so Cal will have them scrapping and clawing at everything. If they lose tonight there's a very real chance they miss the NCAA tournament and have to endure the horror of playing on Wednesday in the SEC tournament. A win tonight on the road would be a huge boost for them assuming they managed to run off another 8 wins to end SEC play and upset UTx on Sat.

We keep saying the next games are the toughest and will tell us most about this team but IMO this stretch of UK, @OU, LSU, @Mizzou will tell us everything about what this team can really accomplish and what the trajectory really is right now. Go 1-3 and this is a team that's just hoping for an invite and a decent seed. Go 3-1 or better and this team may be loading up for a deep run. OU and Mizzou will be really tough for this team and might be the worst matchups for us other than a hot barn team with Cooper playing out of his mind.

Couldn't have said it better. I remember in 2003 when we were number 1 on a Monday. That night we played Utah and lost and I want to say we reeled off about 10 losses in the next 15 games after that. This team is different, I think.

I think having the MSU game helps us. We kind of farted around and struggled but found a way to win while not playing great. I think we come out bombing again. To me the key will be what it always is with this group, limit the number of dumb passes and forced fast breaks when we don't have numbers and rebound on D. I think this one will be closer for sure, Kentucky has players. Bama 88-80.

2-2 the next 4 games is a win IMO. UK played well against LSU, but how did we play against them? Kentucky can definitely win this game, but it will take an off game for us to lose
Couldnt agree more. We’ve set ourselves up nicely. Gotta believe at Oklahoma and at Mizzou are probable losses. Would love to come out with one of those.

I just hope they bring more energy tonight than the last game.

i totally agree. i am not picking us to lose, but i am not cocky about it. this game scares me.

Kentucky should scare anyone. They have the most talented players in the conference, but they have not played as a team all season. They have a quality big man and we have no one to counter him, unless Rojas is back, which is doubtful. We will have to bring our A game to win tonight. If we win tonight the only thing between Bama and a conference title is we need Missouri to lose one game, preferably to us or two games if not us. We have the tie breaker against everyone else and we would have to go 6-3 over the remaining schedule, if any of the 5-3 teams win out.

If we win tonight and Auburn wins tonight, I think we have a chance to win the conference. by going 6-3

if everybody could get healthy this team would have a shot at it.

very hard thing to do for anybody. this team has proved to be really good
you know I thought the first couple games without Bruner may have benefited Bama because of the extended spacing against arkansas and Lsu helped the offense open up a little even though Bruner spent a lot of time at the 3 point line but then it hurt during the Miss st and Kentucky games on the defensive end..
