OK guys after looking at our first 10 games in conference play we did exactly what you are suppose to do when playing bad teams and that is to not slip up and let them beat you. Of our first 10 games we have beaten 1 team with a winning record (Kentucky 7-3), we have beaten 2 teams with .500 records (Arkansas and Missouri both 5-5) and 7 games against teams with losing records. Our first 10 games have come against teams with a 34-66 record in conference play.

Miss St 3-7
Ole Miss 1-9
Kentucky 7-3
Arkansas 5-5
LSU 1-9
Vandy 4-6
Missouri 5-5
Miss St 3-7
Vandy 4-6
LSU 1-9

Our final 8 games comes against a much tougher competition as 5 of the games have winning records, 2 have losing records and 1 is a .500 record. These games have a combined record of 46-34 and taking out the South Carolina game the records are 45-25

Florida 6-4
Auburn 7-3
Tennessee 8-2
Georgia 4-6
So Carolina 1-9
Arkansas 5-5
Auburn 7-3
Texas A&M 8-2

I bring this up only to say that if we find a way to go 6-2 on the way home and end with a 16-2 conference record I think a 1 seed is a real possibility.

ROLL TIDE!!!!

Great post budog. I hope CNO has shown this to the team so they know what they're up against.
We will have to pick it up a notch and play great defense with the energy we are going to need.
Like you, I think if we get through these last 8 games with 2 losses we are good for a #1 seed.
While I don't want the team to lose a game, all we are trying to do is get a good seed in the tournament.

Good post. These next 4 weeks will be fun. If AU loses at TxA&M this week ( already lost at home to them) they will have lost 4 of their last five games coming in to Tuscaloosa Saturday.

MS State; Arkansas; Vandy; and Mizzou are better than their records indicate. IMO, these team mirror each other in ability:
Vols/MS State
Ark/Barn
Vandy/FL
Mizzou/TAMU

plus win the SEC regular season championship. I think that in itself is a great accomplishment.
