Don't shoot the messenger. Just reporting what I read today. Nine months ago, according to USA Today, Saban was ready to take the HC job at the New York Giants, but Mrs. Terry intervened saying that she loved Tuscaloosa and didn't want to move.
Now, I'm not sure if the whole thing is false, or if they contacted Saban and he just used his wife as an excuse to say no, or if it went down like it's reported to have gone down, and Mrs. Terry kept him from leaving. I do find it suspicious that they never report the name of the agent who supposedly talked to Saban about it, but ultimately, it doesn't bother me one way or the other. I'm sure a man like Saban is sought after as a HC and I'm sure there are a few jobs out there that would appeal to him, but it would take a lot of convincing to make me move to New Jersey and I suspect that's true of him as well.
