on the walk back from the beach we stopped by the pool and my 7 year old grand daughter was showing me how she could swim across the pool under water. on about the third try she collided with a very, very large kid coming from the other way. before I could get my old ass up and jump in to see if she was ok the young man had her up and secure and brought her to me. I have never seen a more apologetic and well mannered young man in my life. it was obvious this young fellow was a great kid
we then had this conversation
I said--where are you from
he said--texas, about 14 hours a way. the dallas area.
I said--I am from Alabama.
he said--I hope I go to college in Alabama
I said--you look like a football player
he said--yes sir I play and I hope I get an offer from ala--I get mail from them all the time and coach saban wrote me a letter asking me to come to there camp. I am going up there in two weeks
I said--what a coincidence and I explained I was a season ticket holder and that I sure hoped we would get him to bama.
I of course forgot his name and we ran up on him again and I meet his little brother and sister and got his name again in front of my wife so she could remember it. I was embarrassed to ask how to spell it, but I think it is kellen Otis
any way-- he just finished the 9th grade and I would say he is over 6 ft tall and weighs in excess of 250. looking very athletic around the pool with no bad weight. I guess that would make him a 2018 recruit, but you guys help me keep up with him if ya'll will
maybe @Andrew Bone will find out something on him and anybody that gets to watch the camp--watch out for him--by the way--he named every player we have on our team from texas
