We are playing really good the last few weeks. We are probably not as good as we are playing in January and we are not as bad as we looked in December.

I don’t think we’re like most teams who shoot a lot of 3’s. We don’t go into a possession necessarily looking to shoot a 3. Main goal is to get into the lane and if it’s there, finish at the rim or if it’s not then kick it out for an open 3. Or move the ball and force the defense to get out of position for an open 3. Looks like this team has a very good understanding of what Oats wants. Last year if we weren’t making 3’s then we were screwed. I don’t think that’s the case this year. Will we make 23 3’s most nights? Definitely not but I certainly don’t think that’s the only way we can win games. Against UT we didn’t make that many and still won pretty easily. This team has really turned up the intensity on defense too. Which helps us force bad shots, force turnovers and then we can get out in transition. We have a few ways of beating teams this year, not just making a lot of 3’s.

I disagree with both of you. Bama has had plenty of games where the 3 didn’t fall or we didn’t shoot as many and still won. Their defense is what is setting them apart and not taking bad 3s. As I have said before, I am happy to eat crow if we lose. I don’t see anyone in the sec that beat us.
