Whoever we hire needs to go after some D1 players and get them to look into transferring. As much as i hate what he's doing, Gottfried is smart. He has to compete with NC and Duke in recruiting, so he comes and cherry picks disgruntled players from our roster. If we get Marshall, I would hope he can emulate Gottfried and encourage some guys on our squad to put their feelers out and recruit guys they know at a dumpster-fire type scenario and get them to come over and sit out next year so we can be tourney ready within 2-3 years. Either that or our coach needs to go at them himself-don't know if this is legal, it should' t be but these days in college bball if you're not cheating then you're not trying.

No hard feelings towards the frosh we're bringing in, I'm hoping that our coaches can develop these 3 into good ball players. BUT, we need to bring in a ringer transfer a la Varidel/Lacey at NC state to sit in and learn the system for a year to give ourselves a decent chance to make the tourney within (like i said) 2-3 years. If not, our talent level isn't going to even come close to matching up to the Kentuckys, Floridas, LSUs, Arkansas, or dare I say even Auburn if Pearl keeps pulling the big name in-state kids.
