just because a player does not live up to his hype out of high-school the first couple of years on campus does not mean they will not be good or even great players. as a matter of fact you can look at it every year at the beginning of the season and a big majority of kids who earn the number one spot on the depth chart did not become starters until their 3rd year out of high school. I know you have a few like big cam and it looks like ross p might win the job in his second year, but those guys are few and far between. run down the other projected starters and you will see most of them did not get a starting job as freshmen or true sophomore. j. allen and a robinson are a couple of others, but I can not think of anybody else unless cornwell wins the Q.B. job in his second year.

we really need to be patient and give these kids time before we call them busts-- ie, I saw some of that going on in another thread talking about hootie this morning. remember landon was not a full time starter until his junior year. of course I know he stepped in for vennie his sophomore year
