Not sure why Herbert throws up a crazy impossible spot with 7 seconds left. He’s a senior for crying out loud. But today’s game reveals one guy still can’t finish around the rim.
Tough way to lose off kissed layups and giving up too many offensive rebounds.
It was a tough shot and he makes himself so small when he shoots layups from that position....Herbert Jones

I agree big time Indy, he is out there waving people off like he is Iverson when that is just not his game. I hate questioning coaches, but man this team has some serious unanswered questions.Absolutely. We had such a thrilling come back due to everyone involved. Herb waving people off while clanking layups. I like herb, but if I was him I'd be ashamed after that game. He wanted to close and its just not who he is
Yeah like how a team whose offensive philosophy revolves around hitting the three, yet they are terrible at hitting the three.I agree big time Indy, he is out there waving people off like he is Iverson when that is just not his game. Roll Tide!!!!
Bingo! Once again the team shot poorly from the three point line (27%). And Petty contributed to this as much as anyone. This past summer when Petty was considering jumping to the league I recall several people saying could make it as a three point specialist in the NBA. He can't even drain threes consistently against lesser opponents in college.Yeah like how a team whose offensive philosophy revolves around hitting the three, yet they are terrible at hitting the three.

Do you guys no what waving someone off looks like? Because Herb never waved anyone off, he came down and everyone was just standing around so he tried to make a play like you would expect from your senior.I agree big time Indy, he is out there waving people off like he is Iverson when that is just not his game. He did 3 of his final 4 drives. Isolation his side. Hilarious. Oats was yelling foul the entire time. You don't need to call a timeout when there's 50 seconds left. Plenty of time. Herb is an athlete. But until we get the majority of these southern basketball players off the team (outside Davidson next year) we will only have good athletes. We need basketball players who are taught the game in hs. Not to relearn it once you get to college.Do you guys no what waving someone off looks like? The problem is Oats just sat over there and provided zero guidance in clutch situations down the stretch. He could have easily called a TO and set up a play like a good coach would. I bet Coach K team would have never looked lost at the end of a game.
I was shocked he didn't call a TO at the end. For me there is too much 1 on 3 or 4 (clogged lane) and one man brings the ball up court and firing it up (no passes and no one to rebound a miss).Do you guys no what waving someone off looks like? But he's the coach; that was the main grip about Avery, from me as well, that he didn't teach the fundamentals of the game to the players. He ran the program like it's a pro team and players are supposed to work on their game all on their own.He did 3 of his final 4 drives. Isolation his side. Hilarious. Look know it all, I just watched the replay and he did wave them off. Nobody is saying he took his damn hand and waved them away, but even my 4 years of high school basketball knows you can wave someone off by mouth or by head motion. When he is talking and guys are moving away from him it is pretty damn obvious what’s going on especially when my son is sitting at midcourt and told me what was going on. Now could Oats have done things different, Absodamnlutely he could have, but know what your talking about before you try and correct someone about something you are wrong about.Do you guys no what waving someone off looks like? He never waved anyone off, you can look at it 100 times and you will only see what you want to see. It's called confirmation bias.Look know it all, I just watched the replay and he did wave them off. I am sure that Mac, Forestall, Dickerson or Reichard will do something tonight that you can bitch about.
Roll Tide!!
Well we have at least 2 more Southern basketball players joining the team next year. Guess you can blame them for every loss instead of the guy who’s paid millions to coach and develop them.He did 3 of his final 4 drives. Isolation his side. Hilarious. You keep blaming many of our woes on southern basketball players. We've had 2 lottery picks in the last 3 NBA drafts. Guess where those guys were from? Georgia and Alabama. The greatest basketball teams in Alabama history were comprised almost entirely of southern basketball players as well. it's time that the blame started being placed at the feet of the man that is paid millions to develop the players that he recruits, regardless of where they come from. Oats was gushing about the talent and potential of this team in the off season. It's time for him to do a little less talking and a lot more coaching. He did 3 of his final 4 drives.
