There has been word that Jontae Gilbert is considering a decommit from Ohio State, opening things back up. If so, Georgia and Alabama would stand toward the top. He hasn't said anything official, but the news could come within weeks.
Perlotte made headlines when he committed to Georgia, sparking their '25 class. However, it's become apparent that Alabama has the ear of the physical linebacker. Apparently, he was told that the defense would be "built around" him, and that's something he likes. This one isn't as clear-cut, but it's something worth monitoring with Petlotte continuing to make trips to Tuscaloosa.
These two would be major additions to the 2025 class that just had the most recent with Mason Short. The state of Georgia seems to be a priority in that class, and it wouldn't be a surprise to add a few others.
