First, we need a big man that can shoot a 6 to 10 foot shot and rebound.

Second, we need a power forward, capable of rebounding eight a game and putting some garbage back.

Third, we need a true point guard that is capable of defending the other teams 6'3" point guard. I love our 5'10" point guard, but he cannot create his own shot because of his height and he gets posted up when we are playing man to man. You cannot coach height.

Fourth, we need a coach that bring excitement back to Coleman. Thirty seconds of passing with no purpose and taking a wild shot is not defense.

I think that we have two shooting forwards and one shooting guard.

Please do not confuse defense with low scoring games. There are 40 minutes in a game and if the other team takes an average of 20 seconds to shoot and you take 30 seconds to shoot, that means there are fewer than 50 possessions for each team in a game. If you score on 50% of your possessions, you will score less than 60 points, every game. Playing keep away is not playing defense.

Playing Defense is what Kentucky does every night. Holding your opponent to one shot a trip and under 35% shooting with 15 steals is playing Defense. Playing Defense is what Mike Anderson's Arkansas team does, when they take the first eight seconds off the shot clock by making you work to bring the ball up court. Limiting shots by boxing out and not allowing put backs is what LSU does.

Playing Defense is not what Alabama does.
