Will be interesting to see what kind of punishment the voters or selection committee dishes out if Bama where to drop a game or two down the stretch. 2 weeks ago Bama was the top overall seed but now I wonder if all the powers that be will see to it that Alabama's path becomes harder?

There's two sides to that if it did happen. On one hand maybe they make our path more difficult but that is also making another team's path look more difficult than it should otherwise be. If they make us a 2 somewhere then the 1 seed in that region will be ticked off at having a team with a 1 seed resume in their bracket.

A wild example might be we get the 1 seed in the south but they pair us with UCLA as a 2, Arizona or Texas as 3, and Baylor as a 4 when maybe all of those teams should be higher. Their gripe is more legit than ours as they suddenly have to play through a much harder path than they maybe earned.

IMO if the selection committee wants to poison our bracket then the 2 through 6 seeds will all be big plodding teams known for physical play and keeping the pace of the game as slow as possible and the 8/9 game will have at least one team that probably should be much higher.
