After seeing Pruitt as DC and seeing Smart for several years, which style do you prefer?
Smart seems to liked to keep everything in front of him, play it safe, blitz occasionally, and make'm earn it all the way down the field. The benefit is you don't get beat deep much.
Pruitt seems to dictate the opposing offense by pressuring and forcing mistakes. The biggest benefit is the defense takes away options from the offense, forces action, and makes them make fast decisions leading to mistakes.
For the record, the defense so far this year has forced numerous turnovers and scored in every game. I would get the stats but it would take forever to compile them.
