Will Wade out

I am glad he is gone! Couldn’t stand that guy. He cheated with the best of them. Hope they get hammered!

Huge job opportunity for somebody. Even with NCAA hanging over their head. SEC gonna get that much tougher.

I don’t think so. A coach isn’t looking for tough league to play in with scholarships limitations and who knows what else.

I think itll be a downgrade. I hate Wade as much as anybody… but he had them as competitive as they’ve been in a really long time.

Sounds like the NCAA sharpened it's teeth at least a little bit. Now if we can just go back in time and serve $tan$bury his due before he became irrelevant.

I hope this means that smarmy asshole Wade is done with coaching.

I wouldn't doubt that the NCAA offered to make the punishment fairly light IF LSU immediately fired Wade. That way they don't have to get back in the punishment business and a never ending investigation is lifted from LSU. Now there will be a lot of loud noises about integrity of college sports as they offer a weak punishment in light of the admin acting to remove the problem.

All depends on what LSU wants to do with their program. 7 SEC head coaches are/were in the top 25 for highest salary not counting Texas and Beard. Wade wasn't too far behind. Would they throw $3M+ at the right guy to right the ship or will they get stingy and give <$2m to a band aid? We'll see. Another thing to remember is that in years passed teams rebounded from sanctions by recruting 18 year olds. Now, if you're a good enough recruiter, you go out and sign 4 kids out of the portal after your sanctions drop and you're right back in business.

Obviously LSU firing Wade is an admission that they probably already knew Wade was guilty of some if not all the Level 1 NCAA violations and to continue on as coach and not firing him sooner is quite a statement on LSU's behalf they are corrupt as they can come.

I think what got LSU going after Wade was the 7 Level 1 violations against the basketball program.
There will be some dark years ahead in that program. Now we will get to see what kind of shit storm Fat Head Ed nurtured in the football program.
