I remember the game when he played with a leg fracture. Reed played back in the day when there were true battles between the bigs.
That was my team back in the day, my neighbor and best friend at the time was a big Laker fan and he wouldn't speak after the '69 finals. Huge Clyde Frazier fan.
Captain Willis was the Heart and Soul of those great New York Knicks teams! A Great player and a Great person! R.I.P. Captain Willis!

I remember the huge roar when he limped out of the tunnel and into the game. There was no doubt that the Knicks would win that game.
Pistol and Dr J were the ones that got/kept me excited about basketball. What you saw from doc was about 90% of what he was in the ABA.
