Women’s B-ball Recruiting

Didn't we pick up two transfers as well?
Yes. JaMya Mingo-Young, 5'8" Jr. guard, - played 2 yrs at Miss st. - played in 51 games w/ 12 starts in 2 yrs.. 5.6 pts., 3.9 rebs., 3 assts., & 1.2 steals per game last season. and Khyla Wade-Warren, 6'2" Soph. forward, - 1 yr. at Tex. Tech. - played in 24 games w/ 2 starts last season. (guess N. Burnett not the only Red Raider hoopster to transfer to Bama !).

Can they play is the question? I don’t know how good Texas Tech is, but leaving Miss St women’s program to come to Bama’s exactly exactly a step up.

Schafer isnt at Miss St anymore. They were a .500 team this year and below .500 in conference. May be on the downslide since he left as coach.

Well, of course the Miss Basketball in Alabama is going out of state to Tennessee. Her mom and dad both played at the Barn ( football and softball) but she still went to Knoxville. When was the last time the player of the year in Alabama went to Tuscaloosa?

Shaq Wade was the last POY from Alabama to choose the Tide. Coach Curry is doing a hell of a job retooling our roster. Just like the men, the transfer portal has changed the landscape of college basketball..
