For me it's 2008 vs Clemson. I recall being at the dome and watching Cody blow up the Clemson OL interior and forcing a fumble. After the ensuing Bama drive I remember thinking this beautiful thought regarding what football had recently been at Alabama relative to what it was becoming: It's gonna be different now.
A close second would be 1985 Georgia betwixt the hedges. Shula to Bell for the win. My father cut off our VCR ( which looked like something from outer space) and fired Ray Perkins in our living room so we didn't record games end. Still a great memory.
Any favorite Bama opener memories? Roll Tide!!
