Think it was on “The Pressbox” and I caught the tail end of it. He was talking about the analytics behind his, and what sounded like CNO, system. Don’t remember the exact numbers but he was basically saying the data says a 3 point attempt, on avg will yield 1.4 pts per possession. Free throws and shots at the rim around the same avg. Mid range shots result in .7 points per possession. Basically said if you focus on driver, pitching wedge, and putter you’ll be better than almost everybody else at golf so why congest training and in game decisions with a whole plethora of options when the data says simplify things. Probably not new information to many of you and not going to change opinions but it was nice to hear it discussed. Oh and he is 23-3 at Sanford this season.
