So, we just saw the Crimson Tide pick up another commitment in the 2024 class, and from what we can tell, the Tide is just getting started. Following Jayshawn Ross joining the fold, Alabama now sits No. 4 overall in the class rankings, with several other players looking at Alabama.
There was a lot of anticipation about what this week would look like, and it's currently living up to the billing. That said, even more news is expected, with several other potential commitments on the way.
Just getting started -
Right now, all signs point to Alabama having the opportunity to land two runningbacks in the class, with Jadan Baugh back on the market and things down to Florida/Alabama.
Baugh, who quietly took an OV to Alabama over the weekend, has gained serious traction, earning himself several Future Cast to the Crimson Tide.
Sticking to the running back room, in-state prospect Kevin Riley seems all but set to switch up his commitment to Alabama on Wednesday. Riley has been committed to Miami since the summer, but he's seen the communication increase substantially with the Bama coaching staff.
Riley also visited Alabama for the official visit this weekend and was "impressed" with the experience. We will have feet on the ground for his announcement on Wednesday.

After speaking with our Texas site and numerous sources, we expect that, as expected, Aeryn Hampton will trend towards Alabama late. The friend Jalen Hale on the team and the relationship coach [Holmon] Wiggins built with Hampton create exciting situations.
Apparently, Texas is looking to recruit Hampton as a defensive back, while Alabama wants him as a wide receiver. Hampton wants to play receiver, but the opportunity to bring that East Texas connection to Tuscaloosa is challenging to turn down.
For a player who's been all over the place in terms of committing to Baylor and then Texas (TWICE), we may finally see Hampton's recruitment officially ending.

With Alabama already adding a defensive pass-rusher to the class, the 2024 group has something that Alabama was looking for. Another player who could select the Crimson Tide this week is reclassified defensive end prospect Steve Mboumoua.
The Tide Illustrated staff has had a Future Cast in for Mboumoua since October, with the impression that Alabama had planned to add the 6'4, 260-pound defender as he worked all year long to qualify for early enrollment.
Reclassification has been a big thing for Alabama this cycle, and it could pay dividends again.
Offensive Line Project -
Favour Edwin will sign his letter of intent this week, and the Crimson Tide continue to gain traction in some respects, leaving Auburn and Clemson in the dust. We will find out for sure this weekend, but following his official visit, all accounts are that the high-upside offensive lineman felt that staff knocked things out of the park.
Other contenders -
With Alabama still very involved with names like Edderick Houston, Perry Thompson, Tristan Jernigan & even Solomon Williams, the Tide is nowhere near done. It will be a fun week if you're an Alabama fan.
