Tony was in ICU with Covid 19 ...for 5 days. In his words he did not know if he would make it. Due to who he had been around he had to call some friends many who are in the local media and also some in the national media .. example Pete Prisco CBS, Mike DiRocco ESPN etc... and the people he works with at Westwood One.. His illness was a VERY personal matter and not one he wanted or could talk about at the time.

Mike Freeman is a national journalist and somehow he found out Tony was in the hospital with the virus and he wrote an article which ran nationally. He DID NOT talk to Tony before or after ...

Tony TODAY spoke about his ordeal for the first time with the LOCAL Newspaper and Local Radio/TV. He thanked the media and his friends for respecting his privacy .... when asked about Mike Freeman he was very clear it made him mad because many of his friends did not know, he was still in ICU and his wife and 5 kids in isolation, and that Mike had NOT talked to or been in contact with anyone in his family.

The question is ... Does the media have an obligation to report the story? Would you report the story? As a friend would you tell others?

Tony's story ...
