Alabama continues to dole out offers to top Class of 2027 prospects. In the last week, the coaching staff offered to four players in the class, including talented weakside defensive end LaDamion Guyton.

Guyton plays for Savannah Christian School in Savannah, Georgia. The 6-foot-3, 225-pound edge rusher has generated a lot of buzz this spring but was excited at the potential of contributing to a team he watched set the standard at the college level.

“The school’s name speaks for itself,” Guyton said. “When you think of Bama, you think of winning. I'm all about winning. That's all I want to do.”

Guyton’s offer came from Director of Recruiting Jatavis Sanders, who took an up-front approach and made a good impression on the 2027 talent.

“He was just [talking about] the type of players they [develop],” Guyton said. “He spoke to me about being a good football player but being a man too. He was telling me about the mistakes he made down the road and just trying to prevent me from making the same ones.”

Guyton said strong leadership is something he values highly when looking at schools. He wants to go to a place where he can develop into the best version of himself both on and off the field.

“I don't want to get thrown out in the fire when I’m not ready,” Guyton. “So a [coach] that’s gonna make sure I'm ready for it to put me out there… A nice veteran [presence] — good older players telling me right from wrong, leading me on the right path.”

While it’s still very early in his recruitment, Guyton already has several top schools to start considering. He currently holds 10 offers, including Georgia, Florida State, LSU and Oregon.

“It's pretty cool,” Guyton said of receiving high-profile offers. “It happened pretty fast. Honestly, I was a regular type of guy and not saying that I’m not now, but I was kind of just a fit-in type of guy and now I kind of stand out in school. So I’m just getting used to it, [taking] it one day at a time.”

As he continues to rack up Power Five offers, Guyton said he’s keeping his recruitment wide open and considering all his offers equally. He hasn’t taken a visit to Alabama but said he’s working on scheduling a trip to Tuscaloosa for a camp this summer.
