With it likely that Chip Kelly leaves UCLA to be the OC for the Seattle Seahawks, should we have another round of panic over Coach Grubb being poached? A logical look at the chronology suggests not. Yesterday Coach Grubb very publicly stated that he is the Alabama OC, certainly well aware of the Seahawks rumors the past few days. The timing of his announcement indicates that his statement would have been inclusive of both the Seahawks and the Bruins openings. Coach Grubb has surely been aware behind the scenes that Chip Kelly had emerged as Seahawks OC, creating an opening next at UCLA. He would have had several days to consider this new development and his definitive statement yesterday was well after his consideration of all potential opportunities. We can look forward to Coach Grubb working his magic with Coach DeBoer this season, and let next year take care of itself.
