Alabama got a monster win over #27 (NET) ranked LSU at home yesterday. Alabama moved up 4 spots to #35 in the NET. Alabama has the 4th toughest strength of schedule in the country, which is a huge reason why their NET is so good and why they’ll stay in contention for a birth in the NCAA tournament as long as they win games.

Alabama jumped from 75% to 91% to make the NCAA Tournament after last night. What is interesting is they jumped from 80% to 93% chance with only 18 wins. That percentage is obviously based on how other teams are predicted to finish the season, but I found that interesting. It is at 99% with 19 wins, which would be a lock.

Alabama plays one more game this year that would be another Quadrant 1 opportunity and that Mississippi State on the road. Every other game Alabama should be favored in, which is a great opportunity for them to rack up some wins. Makes you wonder where this team would be if they finished off Penn, Florida, Penn St, Arkansas, or Tennessee doesn’t it? That’s basketball though unfortunately and the ball didn’t bounce Alabama’s way those days.
