Jacksonville yesterday. Pilot for border control.
He was heading home stopped at Publix, in uniform with Badge and shoulder Holster, and was shot multiple times on the way to his car carrying groceries. He is in critical condition but expected to make a full recovery. This happened in a middle to upper middle class area of town. He and the gunman had no previous contact they know of. The gunman turned the gun on himself .. killing himself the gunman was in his car when he shot the officer .. the agent did not have a chance to touch his gun. I have ZERO clue the ethnicity of either and only know the gunman is a dead man.
I share because I wonder what is standard procedure on when and where to be in uniform once off duty?
I know SAD an officer is a target to some when wearing his uniform.
People will not stage a march on his behalf or riot or kneel ... sad .. doubt it becomes a national story.
