Football Recruiting Updates from Rivals Camp Atlanta

I've been on-site at Rivals Camp Atlanta catching up with Alabama targets all morning. Here are some updates — I'll have a full notebook with more notes and nuggets to come.

Talked with 4 ⭐️ Class of 2025 LB commit Luke Metz. He told me he's all in on Alabama and isn't planning on visiting other schools.

Bama softball vs Arkansas....

Well on the way to losing their 5th series in 6 weekends today at Arkansas.

Down 7-0 after the first inning today. 4 walks, lack of hustle on D. Decided not to waste any more of a nice Sunday afternoon watching this garbage. Product on the field is 100% unacceptable.

When does someone start to hold Patrick Murphy accountable? Needs to be now. He sure seems to get a complete pass for the slow erosion of a once great program.

One hitter with a .300 or better average on entire team. Hitters swing at pitches out of the strike zone and stand there and take obvious called third strikes. Horrible discipline at the plate.

Football 🏈 Alabama in the mix for Lou Groza Award kicker

Alabama could be replacing Will Reichard with last year's Lou Groza Award winner. According to reports, the Crimson Tide is in the mix for Miami (Ohio) kicker Graham Nicholson, who entered the transfer portal Friday. Last season, Nicholson was 27 of 28 on field-goal attempts and 35 of 37 on extra-point tries. He also averaged 63.55 yards per kickoff with 52 touchbacks on 73 attempts.

Today’s Softball Box Score

Today’s softball score showed no errors. Yeah they lost the game 8 to 0 by run rule every run was scored in the first inning except one. Bama got the first out. The next batter dribbled one down the first baseline, the first baseman gobbled it up, turned it to first base to get the runner and no one was there. That’s an example of an error that’s not recorded in the box score. That would’ve been two outs. The next batter smacks one over the fence. It’s 2 to 0 and one out, should’ve been two outs. The next batter gets on by a walk. The next batter grounds into a double play, but they don’t complete it. They got the first out at second base which should’ve been the third out. So, the inning should be over and the score should be 1 to 0 but the score ends up being 7 to 0 by the time the inning is over. One error that does not show up in the box score as an error caused them to get run ruled.
