Hoops 🏀 Oats: Alabama would have suspended Mo Wague regardless of SEC's decision

“Shoot, if they didn’t suspend him, we would have suspended him,” Oats said. “That’s not behavior we condone or tolerate around here, and the penalties appropriate for the situation.”

Hoops 🏀 Nate Oats Friday presser

Nate Oats: "Kentucky definitely has more players on draft boards than any other team."
Oats said two of Kentucky's last three games were its best defensive performances and is playing its best basketball.
Oats: "Guard play is great, they've got a legitimate rim protector. They've got the talent to be a great defensive team. They're playing their best defensive basketball now."
Nate Oats said Latrell Wrightsell Jr. is being evaluated day-to-day and will be evaluated when Alabama practices in Lexington later today.
On Sam Walters: "Even if Trelly can go it will still be big if Sam can step up for us."
Nate Oats said he typically likes to foul up three. "If you can box out on the free throw line, inbound the ball and make a free throw on the other end." Said the issue against Florida was Alabama's opponents were good on the offensive glass and it was a higher risk of surrendering an offensive board, but Alabama would foul most of the time.
On Mo Wague: "I did have a talk with him. It's not something that we do. He was extremely apologetic." Said Wague apologized in the handshake line and reached out to the Florida player on social media. Also said if the

Oats: "Kentucky's backcourt is one of the most talented in the country." Praised Antonio Reeves, DJ Wagner and Rob Dillingham.
More on Dillingham and guard depth: "Arguably the best guard prospect in the (NBA) Draft comes off the bench." Said Alabama's guards have a good opportunity to prove they belong in the pros by guarding future pros.

Robby Shelton at the Mexico Open

Double bogey on 2, bogey on 4, +3 through 5. And then 7 straight birdies before ending the streak with a par at 13. Now solo 2nd at -4 despite the horrible start.

I'm trying to remember seeing 7 straight. The record is 9 by Mark Calcavecchia. 8 guys have gotten 8, but I'm not sure I have ever personally seen more othan 6 in a row. 7 straight is pretty remarkable.

Seems the schedules of games remaining favors Auburn. Only possible loss for them is @ Tennessee. So Bama would need to win 4 of remaining 5 if Auburn wins out and 3 of 5 if Auburn drops game at Tennessee. So my take is Bama must win games are Tennessee at home, @ Ole Miss and Arkansas at home to have a chance.

SEC network

Just checked the guide to see if Bama v UF would re-air. Between now and the time Pawl comes on they are showing UK v LSU twice and the rest of the time it’s “SEC Now.” Do they not own the rights to all of their material, especially past games?? Wouldn’t UF vs Arkansas from ‘95 be more compelling than 6 straight hour replays of recorded news??
