Hoops 🏀 Bama at Boutwell - Ticket Prices?

Anyone checked into getting tickets for Bama's exhibition game against Wake Forest in B'ham? I looked last night and the get in the door price is $120/per?! $175/per for top row of the arena on the sideline?!

What's the deal with this event? That's a little over 1/7th of the price for my PAIR of season tickets. I know it's a charity exhibition, but good grief these prices seem INSANE.

Football 🏈 How Tim Keenan developed into Alabama's most disruptive force

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Tim Keenan III has made a name for himself by chewing up double-teams at Alabama. The one he faced this summer has propelled him into one of the top defensive tackles in the nation.

Kevin Brown and Terrence Swift have trained Keenan since his high school days. This offseason the duo teamed up looking to develop the lineman into one of college football’s most disruptive forces. Two weeks into the season, that mission appears to be a success.

Football 🏈 A look inside Tyler Booker's spot start at left tackle against USF

Alabama OL coach Chris Kapilovic praised Tyler Booker for his performance during a spot start at left tackle against South Florida last weekend. As for what the junior means to the Tide's offensive line?

“Thank God he’s here,” Kapilovic said.

Football 🏈 What to watch for in Alabama's Week 3 matchup against Wisconsin

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The first road trip of the Kalen DeBoer era will be a notable one. After passing its first two tests of the season inside Bryant-Denny Stadium, No. 4 Alabama will head up north to take on Wisconsin on Saturday.

The SEC/Big Ten showdown will serve as FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff game of the week and will mark just the third meeting between the Crimson Tide and the Badgers. Alabama enters the game as a 16-point favorite, according to the Caesars Sportsbook.

Here’s what to watch for heading into the weekend.

Football 🏈 Jalen Milroe's favorite targets through two games

Here's a look at the receivers Jalen Milroe has targeted the most over two games.

Ryan Williams — 9 targets, 6 receptions, 207 yards, 3 TDs
Germie Bernard — 8 targets, 5 receptions, 70 yards, 0 TDs
Kobe Prentice — 3 targets, 2 receptions, 34 yards, 1 TD
C.J. Dippre — 3 targets, 2 receptions, 20 yards, 0 TDs
Kendrick Law — 3 targets, 1 reception, 22 yards, 1 TD
Emmanuel Henderson — 2 targets, 1 reception, 10 yards
Josh Cuevas — 2 targets, 2 receptions, 9 yards
Jam Miller — 2 targets, 1 reception, 8 yards

I haven’t seen the Tide on tv this year, only in person.

Talk me off the ledge for this weekend. I know bama wasn’t at full strength; however, I’m not Loving what I’m seeing from either side of the ball.
Defense gives up 200 plus yards rushing vs USF.
Offense hasn’t seemed to get in a flow; playcalling seems a lot like a Waffle House order : scattered, smothered, and covered. Execution is big play or bust.

A glaring weakness in the Defense

After two weeks I have a severe concern about Alabama playing man to man Defense, with our secondary. On at least six occasions so far this season I have seen Alabama’s young Defensive Back beaten badly, while playing man to man Defense. If USF had a QB, we would have lost the game. It is obvious that our young DB’s must learn that the opponents are just as talented as our DB’s and the QB’s are far more talented than anyone they saw in High School.

Now I do not know how much of the problem was route recovery against USF, as the Bull’s fast paced Offense is based on running a fly route, subbing and running the same exact fly route with a new receiver. We will not see that again this season; however, against Wisconsin, Georgia, LSU, and Auburn we will see capable QB’s and against Tennessee we will see a very good QB. Now, I do not know how good USF is, defensively excellent and on offense they have a QB deficiency, but we will see against a pretty good Miami team.

I do know that we have to improve in Man coverage before Tennessee, as we will be picked apart playing zone. Right now I would say that we will have our hands full in Madison and against Georgia if we don’t improve in the secondary.

For those that are concerned about the OLine, don’t be, as we should have both tackles ready Saturday.

Football 🏈 'Alabama beat Alabama': Tide players discuss frustrating game against USF

“You know, ’Bama beat ’Bama. That’s kinda what me and the guys were kind of sticking with," Dippre said. "They didn’t do anything special. Good team, all respect to them, but we were kind of just beating ourselves. The penalties, turnovers, we’ve just got to up the standard.”

Hoops Recruiting BREAKING: Alabama lands 2025 Top 75 SF Amari Allen

6’7 SF Amari Allen from Green Bay, WI has committed to Alabama.

He’s a project player, but someone who could project to be a good rotational piece similar to that of Naas Cunningham and Kris Parker.

Allen is the first commitment for Alabama in the 2025 class.

Milroe and the pocket

I haven’t been able to watch the whole game. But the spots I watched, he didn’t do a great job of stepping up in the pocket. And I know the OL isn’t dominating but I expected more growth from him in that area. Like the right tackle on this one didn’t do anything. But he really wouldn’t have had to if Milroe steps up, that guy runs himself out of the play. Jam stuns that linebacker and the pocket is nice.
