We had just held LSU to 3, down just 19-13 with 4:15 left in half and ball at 28. BRob rips off a 7-8 yard gain. With a short 2nd and 3, and 3:45 left, why not run it again and again, getting the 1st down, drain the clock, then take your shots later in the drive....keeping the ball away from Burrow for the rest of the half???? Worst case, we punt to them deep in there territory with hardly any time left. We regroup at half and feel fortunate to be down 19-13. Instead, we throw an incomplete pass, then throw a pass behind the line and then punt, giving them 2:25 to score TWICE. I thought about this on that 2nd down....RUN IT. That was a big turning point by not grinding that 1st down.
