Playing in its final true road game of the season, the usual problems followed Alabama in its trip to College Station.

The Crimson Tide was out-rebounded, gave the ball up 13 times and shot a disappointing 38 percent from the floor, including 21 percent from beyond the arc. Those combined deficiencies resulted in a common result.

Alabama wrapped up its regular season Saturday with a 68-66 loss to Texas A&M, marking its fifth straight defeat. The current losing streak is Alabama’s longest under in head coach Avery Johnson’s three-year tenure. It also dropped the Crimson Tide’s road record to a woeful 2-8.

The positive for Alabama is that the remainder of its games will be at neutral sites. That is if the Crimson Tide can perform well enough in next week's SEC Tournament to earn a bid to the NCAA Tournament. Saturday's loss puts a serious dent in Alabama’s chances of earning its first bid to the Big Dance since 2012 as the Crimson Tide must now win multiple games in order to give itself a realistic chance of being selected.

Alabama falls to 17-14, 8-10 in the SEC with the loss, while Texas A&M improved to 20-11, 9-9.
