The whole country is talking about how strong Bama is and what a mess Memphis is. Seems like a sucker bet. I believe most people would easily take Bama and that's what worries me. Vegas know something we don't? Maybe I'm reading too much into it.

The line is this short because it's a terrible spot for Bama. Just played a very emotional, physical, elite-eight type game against Houston on Saturday that ended around 11:30 PM. Now we turn around on 2 days rest and travel to Memphis to play a team that is talented, but desperate for a big win. Add in the whole country talking about Bama like you said, and all of that adds up to a traditional letdown spot.
If Bama is on their game they will cover with ease, but the line is short because it's an awful situational spot for the Tide.

Glad it helped. I called my dad and he agreed... sucker written all over it especially since it opened even smaller and grew to 4.5.
