Bama could have used Rojas saturday.

I have certainly had my complaints about him but watching our bigs pick up foul after foul it reminded me how he and Reese used to "ugly" things up in the paint defensively. Not saying the fate of this team rests on his shoulders but I could see him still having a descent role late in the season if/when he returns.

On a side note, any idea how Burnett is doing? He is 3+ months post op?

I think I would rather have Reese. He is a better shooter and every now and then he would get a rebound or two.

Rojas would’ve fouled out within 5 minutes with that whistle happy crew calling the game, and as sweetlou pointed out above would’ve probably had even more turnovers than fouls.

Which would have allowed guys like Gary, Bediako, and Gurley the ability to play a little more free. Not saying I expect him to give Bama 10 and 5 but just 3-5 minutes a game of making things ugly down low against tough post players will still be needed at some point this season.

He’s definitely the best at “making things ugly” that we’ve had in a long, long time. 🙂

I won't argue with you on that. It blows my mind that he is still on the team. I guess Oats has his reasons.

My hope is that he is medically cleared sometime in May.

I admit Rojas is not a star. he has “bull in a China shop” moments but I went back and rewatched some of the games from last season and he did a lot of nice things Too. He hustles all the time, he gets in bigs grill and he can generate energy. There is a reason he’s here.
