I love the beginning of Baseball season ... the grass is turning green everyone starts the season with hope (maybe not the Braves) it means the Masters is coming beach weather is close .... winter is gone.
Watching the Cubs pregame ... and remember back to when Ernie Banks played .... along with Billy Williams and Hank Aaron local men from Mobile, Mays, Bob Gibson. Back then we never heard of drugs and contracts it was all about baseball. I count myself as fortunate to have seen all of the men above play.
Fortunate here in Jax we have a GREAT ballpark for our Double A team ... and I think I enjoy the minor league games now as much as the major league games. Great seats anywhere great food and or beer specials and the kids play HARD every step because they are trying to make it to the big leagues.
Only 3 places they should open the season Wrigley or Fenway or Cincy. Cincy I think still has a parade to start the season with the team and former players .... Cincy has the Bengals but it is the REDS town ... Chicago has all the sports but it is a CUBS town ... when they win it all it will be a party to end all parties. The Red Sox own Boston ... went there for a Patriots - Jags playoff game and more Red Sox hats that Patriots.
