No one can convince me that the following year UNLV was on the take. They were better the next year and destroying teams; they threw that game.
The Zags have shot 13 free throws to Baylor’s 2. Baylor is more athletic and more physical that Gonzaga is accustomed to. And in the beginning that was a huge deal until Gonzaga settled in and adjusted.
May not matter unless Baylor starts missing those 3’s. Would be nice if Bama had a pure shooter like Butler. 🤦♂️
We could have used him even more bc he can handle the ball and finish.
Gonzaga can schedule tough out of conference. But those teams that play in their conference don’t get them ready for this...
The kids at Gonzaga are so physically overwhelmed. You can just look at their lack of athleticism and understand why the far superior athletic Baylor players are kicking their tails. There isn’t a player on Gonzaga who I believe can make it in the NBA.
When will analytics catch up on personal fouls? It makes no sense to me to bench one of your 2 best players down 18. You’re not gonna catch up without him. Same goes for benching them a minute into the game just to save him for when you’re getting blown out.

I don’t disagree, with the possible exception of Suggs but that makes what they’ve accomplished even more impressive.
I also noticed they are doing way more dribbling than usual. Typically it’s a bunch of passes until the defense makes a mistake. Tonight they look more like Bama on offense except they’re still making a good percentage of shots.
This game reinforces the notion that you shouldn't take the "can't be beaten" small conference champs at face value when they've played maybe three teams with a pulse all season. UCLA probably should have beat them. Gonzaga has screwed the pooch like half a dozen tournament trips now.
This game has been over for a while. The on the court blowout isn't as close as the scoreboard. It feels like 150-50 with how overmatched Gonzaga has been.
Suggs needs to transfer to Bama to play DB on our Football team. He can’t shoot very well and unless he improves his shot he will be jus a so so NBA player.
I pity the teams that draft them too early. If he develops a shot maybe Suggs will be okay but that’s a stretch. There are 4 guards as good as or better than Suggs on Baylor...45 and 12 are like 3 rounds better.
Take 45 or 12 and put either one of them on Gonzaga and let Suggs take their place on Baylor and the results are the same.
You have obviously not watched Suggs play very much. Kid can flat out play and shoot. Very bad take.
True freshman vs 2 upperclassmen. And he has more upside. Far better than you are giving him credit for.
again- how many times have you seen him play? He is very good.
With the exception of Suggs I agree. That was the reason I picked Baylor before the tourney started and stuck with them. They were just as good fundamentally and much more athletic.
