...Alabama squarely involved with one-time Baylor commit SG Kobie Eubanks.
Eubanks had cut his list to UCLA, Texas, Oregon, Missouri and Georgia but since the season ended Texas had a head coaching change, Missouri assistant Tim Fuller (Eubanks lead recruiter) exited the program, Georgia lost a big man and had to use their last scholarship to fill that need, Oregon and UCLA are pursuing more than Eubanks at SG.
Kobie and his family have spoken to Avery Johnson and Bob Simon over the past couple of days. Simon was recruiting Eubanks while he was at Providence and has stayed in contact with him. Coach Johnson saw Kobie play against his son in an AAU game a few years ago.
Eubanks would like to start taking visits next week and finish them in the next 2-3 weeks and then make a decision. CAJ's schedule over the next couple of weeks include a few days that he'll be on the road due to prior commitments but I expect Alabama to get a visit from Eubanks. I also expect Tennessee to get a visit since Eubanks has a great relationship with Rick Barnes and with Rob Lanier.
Eubanks did a prep year at Elev8 Sports Institute in Delray Beach, Florida. I believe Eubanks will stay closer to the south than some people had previously thought.
