I know there have been several articles written about who the best choice is to take Coach Saban’s place when he retires.....Dabo, Pruitt, Sarkisian, possibly Cristobal, etc.... My question (one I’d like to hear some serious discussion on) is can Dabo handle the SEC West year in and year out without losing and making the playoffs? We know he can win in the non competative ACC and make the playoff every year. The million dollar question is can he continue that winning streak in the SEC? The SEC West alone is more talented than the whole ACC put together? I personally don’t know if there’s another coach at this particular time who can/could deliver the results Coach Saban has. Possibly Kirby could do it, BUT that’s yet to be determined and with the bad blood between Georgia and us I can’t ever see that happening!
If I’ve asked this in the wrong forum I apologize. But I look forward to some of our former players and great football minds thoughts on this question.
