I have been watching Alabama football religiously since 1979. We have a tradition of great defenses and, with that, a long list of "lights out" performances. But last night's version...just wow. I struggle to remember, apart from possibly the 21-0 win over LSU in the national championship game (in which they ended ZERO drives in Alabama territory), a more supreme resume by our D (or anyone else's for that matter). I know LSU is lacking at QB, but in general, to a degree their personnel is in the same peer group as ours. Six FD? About a buck thirty in total yard? Yet again relegating the nation's top back to pedestrian status? In THEIR house (thought by many to be the toughest place to win a CFB game)?
