Indiana has the easiest strength of schedule (67th out of 70) of any Power Four Conference team under consideration. Indiana played one ranked team all season, and they lost and one other team with a winning record. Don’t feel bad, as SMU had the 66th ranked strength of schedule and 108th out of 132, according to CFB-HQ.

The selection committee has. Choice. The committee can reward playing a weak schedule or they can reward teams like South Carolina and Alabama that played competitive schedules.
