Football šŸˆ Evaluating Alabama's roster following the winter transfer portal window

It's all odd too me. Load up on rbs but never run. Load up on wrs but use 2 tight ends split out like receivers more than we ever see 4 receivers in the game but now we don't have much te talent.

I think ball distribution will be an significant upgrade going into to '25. Both the RBs and WRs had very limited touches in '24. I think that's why we saw Haynes leave and a slew of WRs hit the road. I was a bit intrigued when Tony talked of "complications" regarding Haynes and how it was mutually benefical for him to split. I for one am excited about DeBoer working with Ty Simpson on rolling out more of his offense.

Hereā€™s a position-by-position breakdown of where Alabamaā€™s roster stands at the moment.

Some of your numbers need updating - QBs should be 3 not 4, RBs should be 6 not 5, WR H should be 5 not 4, Wolf should be 5 not 4, and Rover should be 2 not 3. It makes it easier to add the total if theyā€™re right. Sorry, Iā€™m OCD about these type of things. Thanks for keeping us updated on this, the TP has made this hard to keep up with. ROLL TIDE!!!

I think they'll make another significant signing at OL, but yeah. That's going to be an area of concern heading into the spring.
A starting five of Proctor, Dewberry, Brailsford, Roberts, and Formby would be a really experienced group minus Formby and sounds pretty impressive to me if they all can develop some chemistry as a unit. Then you have VanDeMark (also a veteran) as the rotational guy while some of the young guys get acclimated to the college level.

Gah, good catch. Fixed all but Wolf. I'm not going to double count Latham

Yeah, I found the complications interesting too. Causing issues in the locker room, unhappy with number of carries, wanted more NIL or what??

A little bit of all of the above.... NIL value gap, role, and just some concerns over his drive
I get not being motivated because of the lack of touches, but to be elite, he canā€™t focus on those things and just focus on winning the day. Hope he learns that at Michigan

The oline and TE roster is quite underwhelming
you think having a oline with a LT, C, RG that will be all american candidates underwhelming?
our right tackle spot will be either manned by formby who took his lumps but improved toward the end of the season or one of the highly touted frosh. at right guard we most likely will have a fifth year senior who didnt impress me early on but won me over towards the end. but he too will be pushed by many talented but inexperienced players like poe, ionata , poe, sanders, alinen or one of the true frosh. and thats not counting the transfer who started most of the year for a&m and was rated a top 60 overall recruit.
i guarantee if you go through all of the teams in the countries oline roster for next year, you wont find one with that much depth, experience, and highly touted guys coming back. we are lucky brailsford and roberts came back.
