Everyone who has been interviewed, including Coach Saban, has referred to the play as "Seattle", which in most circles means players running 4 vertical routes...but if you watch the tape closely, at least 2 players you can see run crossing routes...Irv Smith for sure, as well as the other slot receiver on the right side...Devonta was lined up alone on the left...Damien was the lone back and he was in pass protection...I think Jeudy was the wide receiver lined up to the far right...he probably ran a vertical route as well...so basically it was 2 verticals...

Just wondering why everyone called this play as 4 go routes when 2 of the receivers clearly ran crossing routes underneath...anyone have any idea why this would happen...to me this is a case of it is said by one person, then taken as gospel by all others, despite the evidence on the tape...
