Just returned from a great weekend in Nashville (one of my favorite towns, wish we played Vandy every year) and toured the battle town of Franklin. Wonderful town and great history-fairly well preserved. Finished our tour of Carnton where 6 Confederate Generals were killed,four of whom were laid out on the porch, including one of my favorites, Pat Cleburne.
Great tour guide....very knowledgable.
At the end, a teenager asked. "You know, like, uh, who won the war?"
The guide answered, with great aplomb," Why, the north". She asked the teen "Where are you from?"
"California" ....She answered......Unbelievable!...... True story.
My question is, "Is this your cousin/niece/sister"? RIPPE....
