Prentice, a Calera, Ala., native, began training with former Alabama receiver Mike McCoy heading into his senior season of high school last year. During the fall, that meant waking up at 5 a.m. every weekday to make the 45-minute drive to Performance Institute LLC in Bessemer, Ala., where he’d workout for an hour and shower before racing back down I-65 in order to arrive in time for his first class.
