This, I like this brand where it's a mix of trying to get to the basket, play D, and hit a few timely 3s. Gotta make the FTs, that can kill you in close games.
My 6 year old is more excited than anyone. He loves basketball. Loves Alabama basketball. Loves SEC basketball. And we have to watch the replays too much. Nice to watch these wins on replay!
Great win at Thompson... never imagined this a few weeks ago.
And for the most part we did it without chucking a bunch of three point shots.
The whole game it seemed we were just a bad matchup for tenn and when we started making some 3s we pulled ahead.

That wasn’t exactly the Oats ball we’ve seen before. We were more patient on offense. Didn’t shoot the first 3 we saw. Which helped us play better defense.
Wonder if all the folks saying JD should go play overseas has anything to say after this game? It’s almost like people should have been a little patient with all these new players before they judged this team. Just beat a top 10 team on the road. This is what this team is capable of. So proud of them.

Massive win! Hopefully we can handle success and come out with the same intensity against UF on Tuesday.
Quinnerly and Petty are key to this team winning. Great team win overall, but got to have these two hitting shots and Quinn controlling the offense.
I haven’t seen us play with that kind of patience on offense under Oats. And without throwing up threes just bc.

Yeah I think the that’s why Reese didn’t see a lot of action late. Haha! I’m not a Reese basher, but I think he had one rushed 3 that wasn’t necessary and Coach had these guys patient tonight.

What a great win and completely different style than normal. GREAT defense and patient offense. I think Oats has determined we don't have the speed to get up and down the floor like last year and is going to win with a style like tonight. Still scored over 70. Also, we really fought hard for rebounds. Beat Florida next week and we are in much better shape than we were expecting.
Not to complain but we need to be more consistent on FT's. Could have put them away ealrier if we made those
Yeah seems to be the case every year with whoever is coaching. Our “shooters” struggle at the line and that’s never good.
While I’m not a fan of how aggressive we usually are on defense, our offense usually makes defense hard. We usually shoot so fast and attempt so many 3’s. Both of those can easily have a negative effect on defense. And it gives the other team more possessions too. Our patience on offense tonight had a positive impact on our defense.
