Game thread: Alabama vs. East Tennessee State

Petty probably wanted a shot in practice after Rojas took 5 in a row...

Heading into the first timeout ETSU leads Alabama 9-8. Jordan Bruner has 3 points and two rebounds for the Tide.

Not a hater...but if you can’t lay the ball in the basket stop taking it to the basket. Haha!! Come on Herb. So frustrating because you want him to be better.

Here is something I have been complaining about for year, from Grant to now with Oats, why don't Bama press more? Alabama for years not have seem to have better "athletes" than skilled "basketball players", and each of these coaches insist on playing deep into their roster playing 10-11 players (with the exception of last year when Oats didn't have the numbers). So why not press more and let these athletes get out in the open flood and get some easy baskets off turnovers? Most CBB teams only have a couple true ballhandlers, just think if teams pressed this Bama team the whole game, how many TO would this team have? Even worse last year when kira was really all we had. and even he was prone to TOs.

All oats does is talk and yell about passing to open shooters. Its because the older guys on the roster are from the south. Basketball isn't taught effectively in the south
